Deleting your data
How to have what Clip Lab keeps from an account you connected deleted: Dropbox, Google Drive, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn. Descript, which whoever set up Clip Lab connects once for the whole show, has its own section below. Clip Lab is a private tool one show uses to make and post its clips; it holds nothing about anyone who only watches them.

What Clip Lab keeps
- The name of each account you connected: the Dropbox or Google Drive account the recordings are read from, and the Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook or LinkedIn account, Page or profile clips are posted to.
- The permission each of those gave Clip Lab, to read the recordings or to post, stored encrypted and never shown on any screen.
- For each clip posted, its link, and how it did, such as how many people watched it.
Removing Clip Lab from Facebook
In Facebook, open Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations. Find Clip Lab and press Remove. Facebook tells Clip Lab straight away, and Clip Lab deletes the permission you gave it, for every show you connected, at once. Nothing is posted to your Page after that.
From inside Clip Lab
Open Settings, then Connections, and press Disconnect beside any account you connected. The permission is deleted at once, and anything scheduled for that app is not posted.
From each service’s own settings
Dropbox, Google (for Google Drive and YouTube), Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn each list the apps you have connected in their own settings: find connected or third-party apps there and remove Clip Lab. Clip Lab can then do nothing more with that account. Facebook’s own way is above.
Descript
For a team that edits in Descript, whoever set up Clip Lab connects it once, for the whole show. It is not an account you connect, so Clip Lab keeps no name or permission of yours for it, and it has no Disconnect. To stop Clip Lab reading the show’s Descript projects, ask whoever set up Clip Lab to remove it.
Everything else
To have the links and results of clips already posted deleted too, write to the address on the show’s own website, saying which account they came from. They are deleted within 30 days, and you are told when it is done. Clip Lab never deletes a post from Facebook or LinkedIn itself: delete a post there, in the app.
