Terms
Clip Lab is a private tool, at cliplab.studio, used by one show to turn its episodes into short clips. These terms cover using it. By signing in, you agree to them.
Last updated October 24, 2026.
Who may use it
Only the people the show’s team has added to it. There is no sign-up. If you have been given access, it is yours alone: do not share your sign-in with anyone.
What it does
It reads an episode’s camera and mic files from the show’s Dropbox or Google Drive, proposes clips from the transcript, makes the ones you approve itself, and then adds music, a cover and the words for each app. A team that edits in Descript can bring its cuts in from there. When you press Post now or Schedule, it posts the finished clip to the accounts you have connected.
What you are responsible for
- Having the right to use what you put into it: the recordings, what guests said, and anything else in an episode.
- Looking at a clip before you post it. Clip Lab proposes and edits; a person decides. What goes out is your decision.
- Following the rules of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn for anything posted to them. Those apps can remove a post or close an account, and Clip Lab cannot change that.
- Using the music only as its license allows. The license note travels with each download.
Connected accounts
When you connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook or LinkedIn, you give Clip Lab permission to post on that account’s behalf, or the Page’s you pick. It is used for nothing else. Disconnect it in Settings, then Connections, and the permission is forgotten at once; anything scheduled for that app will not be posted.
What you may not do
- Use it for anything unlawful, or to post anything you do not have the right to post.
- Try to reach data or accounts that are not yours.
- Give anyone else access, or use it for another show without the owner’s agreement.
The services it depends on
Clip Lab works through Dropbox, Google Drive, AssemblyAI, Anthropic’s Claude, Epidemic Sound, Google Fonts, Apple’s podcast directory, Supabase, Vercel and Railway, through Google and Apple for signing in, through Descript for a team that edits there, and through Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn themselves. Each has its own terms, and each can change or stop its service. When one is down or changes, part of Clip Lab may not work until it is put right.
What is not promised
Clip Lab is provided as it is. It is not promised to be free of faults, always available, or to produce any particular result. A clip it proposes may be wrong for the moment, and words it writes may need changing: that is why a person approves everything before it goes out.
Limits
As far as the law allows, the show’s team is not liable for a loss that follows from using Clip Lab, including a post that did not go out, a post that went out at the wrong time, or anything an app did with a post afterwards. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot lose.
Ending access
Access can be taken away at any time, for any reason, by the show’s team. You can ask for yours to be taken away at any time. After that, you can no longer sign in, and what Clip Lab holds is handled as the privacy policy says.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version appears here, and anyone who uses Clip Lab is told before a change that affects them.
Getting in touch
To ask anything about these terms, write to the address on the show’s own website.
